Imprenditorialità privata e trasformazione dellOpera italiana nell'Ottocento
Between 1840 and 1880, the italian Opera production system is transformed. From a handicraft system without any form of copyright protection, it became a modern cultural industry. The consideration of the music publishers role, and particularly of the firm Ricordi, lead to a reinterpretation of the reasons of the transformation of the art production system and a reflection upon the characteristics of cultural mediation provided by private enterprises in this process.
